  • Scooty Driving Tips for Beginners

    • Why is driving important for Girls / Women?
Life, as a woman, becomes more convenient when we know how to drive. Learning how to drive is the first step to owning our (dream) scooty or car. And, admit it. Driving our scooty or own car is far more convenient than hailing a cab, booking for a Grab, or having someone wait for us. Due to religious or cultural factors, some people – particularly women – may feel more at ease learning to drive with a female instructor. They might feel more comfortable talking to someone of the same gender about their worries or asking them questions about driving-related subjects
    • Simply knowing scooty riding is not enough – especially for learners. Here are some important safety measures that riders must bear in mind:
    • When you are riding, it is important to keep your focus solely on the road. Distractions can be fatal. A helmet is not optional. It is an important safety gear when you are riding. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Drunk driving often leads to accidents.Don’t exceed the speed limit. You might not understand the point when you lose control of your vehicle.Every rider needs to ensure that all the parts – whether it is the brakes or the side mirrors – are functioning correctly and running smoothly.
    • HOW TO BALANCING & CONFIDENCE A SCOOTY FOR THE FIRST TIME:
    • Balancing and gaining confidence on a scooty for the first time can be challenging, but with practice and patience, you can master it. Here are some tips to help you balance and gain confidence on a scooty:
    • Start in a safe and open space: Find a flat and open area where you can practice without any obstacles or distractions.Familiarize yourself with the controls: Before you start, take some time to become familiar with the different controls on the scooty, such as the accelerator, brakes, and steering.Sit with both feet on the ground: When you first sit on the scooty, keep both feet on the ground and get comfortable with the weight and balance of the vehicle.Start with small movements: Start the engine and slowly release the clutch while giving a little bit of throttle. Practice moving forward and backward slowly, trying to maintain your balance.Keep your eyes up: It’s important to look ahead and keep your eyes up, instead of looking down at the ground or the handlebars. This will help you maintain your balance and steer the scooty in the right direction.Practice turning: Once you are comfortable moving in a straight line, practice making turns at a slow speed. Remember to lean into the turn and keep your eyes up.Build up your speed: As you gain confidence, gradually increase your speed and practice stopping and starting smoothly.
Remember to take your time and practice regularly. With practice, you’ll become more comfortable and confident on your scooty.
    • At what speed should we drive Scooty?
40-60 is the best speed for 100–125 cc scooter. Most important point, no matter what speed you are on or how many km you have completed, never accelerate hard, i.e. never give racing start. Always build up speed gradually.
    • How much can we drive in Scooty?
Any distance is possible provided you stop for 15-20 minutes after every 50-60 km. That's good for your health too. Factoring in rest stops, traffic etc, I effectively travel 30-35 km in an hour in single lane highways and 40-45 km in NH. So driven for 8-10 hours a day on a NH, you can ride anywhere between 300-450 km.
    • Important traffic rules for two wheelers.
Having a driving licence. This is the most fundamental traffic rule. Always wear your helmet. Avoid riding under the influence of alcohol. Avoid overloading your bike. Avoid riding without insurance. Avoid exceeding the speed limits. Avoid rash driving. Avoid jumping signals.
    • Can a girl learn scooty without knowing cycle?
Yes, I've seen people learning to ride gearless two wheelers without knowing to ride bicycle. Yes, it is possible to learn, but someone who already has cycle balance can learn it within a day. It is much easier to balance a scooty than a bicycle so you should able to get a hang of it in two or three days.
    • How do you control a scooty?
Now, ignite and start the engine by holding the left brake and pressing the “start” button on your bike. As the scooter rumbles to a start, you can release the brakes and slightly turn the accelerator on the right hand. As the torque builds up, your scooter will start to move forward.
